Gallion's rich heritage traces back to its origins as Macon Station, a plantation owned by Henry Augustine Tayloe along the Demopolis to Uniontown Rail Line. The community was renamed to honor Jo Gallion, a notable railroad official who left his mark on the region's development. Today, Gallion stands as an unincorporated community in Marengo County, home to the beautifully preserved Waldwic plantation house, which holds distinction as a site on the National Register of Historic Places. Marengo County residents and Gallion natives alike can represent their Alabama roots with Hometown Supply Co's curated selection of local pride apparel. Every shirt and hoodie celebrates the character and history that make this community special.
